Global Catastrophe Have to Meet Its Definition

Many folks say that due to global temperature rises we are headed for massive disaster the world and human populations have ever known as the icebergs melt and the sea rises. Yes, but they did not remember to tell you that even in a 100-year period it'll only rise twenty-three centimeters? So, it's actually nothing that is going to kill all of humankind, and not ever shortly.

Remember there are 6.6 billion people on this planet and while a good number live at near sea level, it isn't that big a pressing matter. In fact, we ought to be concerned about much greater risks to humanity - real world catastrophic events. What is a world disastrous event you ask?

Well, Nick Bostrom and Milan Cirkovic in their research suggest that a catastrophe of 10 trillion bucks in industrial losses and the loss of 10 million lives may be considered a worldwide disaster. Manifestly, ten million folk is a massive number but when you actually give it some thought, that's only a sliver of the 6.6 Billion folk in the world, and in truth only a drop in the proverbial bucket. Ten million deaths from one catastrophe have occurred many times during the past.

10 Trillion bucks is a huge number isn't it, well did you know that this last fiscal crisis was well over that figure? Indeed, even a recession in the US would be 5 Trillion greenbacks of evaporated equity in the markets. 9-11 was about 7.5 Trillion, this time it's virtually 10-Trillion in America alone, not to mention the rest of the economies of the planet.

No, the death toll wasn't that large, but consider if 10 million people also died? Well, a World War could look after that could not it and it could happen with so many states on the verge of industrial collapse. Think on this, think about the real Global disasters and not just the made up one's like global warming.
